Sujith co-founded Networks for Humanity (NFH), an international network of labs creating a universal technology infrastructure for the AI-driven digital economy. NFH’s mission is to develop a universal, interoperable framework for the tokenization and exchange of all forms of assets—both physical and digital—across geographies and sectors. These labs serve as decentralized, interoperable, open innovation playgrounds, empowering market participants and impact-driven organizations to build thousands of diverse applications and unlock billions of dollars in economic value.

He is the co-creator of the Beckn Protocol (Beckn), a vision for peer-to-peer, agentic-native, open networks that enable universal value exchange across global value chains. Beckn enables open-loop discovery, negotiation, contracting, and fulfi llment of any economic resource, facilitating cross-sector agentic commerce for people and businesses, including those at the fringes of the formal economy. Sujith’s work spans technology, policy, and innovation, blending bottom-up, market-led development of open network ecosystems with top-down policy and regulatory enablement to unify and expand markets.

Sujith recently co-created the Digital Energy Grid (DEG)—a global vision published in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (IEA)—which envisions a Beckn-enabled digital infrastructure spanning the energy value chain to accelerate the transition to a reliable, clean, and fl exible grid. He has pioneered and helped establish several other Beckn-based open networks across diverse sectors and geographies, including:

● Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC): A nationwide, peer-to-peer open commerce network in India that has facilitated over 200 million orders since 2021 across retail, food, agriculture, mobility, logistics, fi nancial services, and B2B.
● Namma Yatri: A peer-to-peer ride-hailing platform that has enabled 95 million rides for 650,000 drivers, generating $185 million in revenue—with zero commissions.
● Unifi ed Energy Interface: A decentralized open energy network manifesting the DEG vision, delivering over 20 GWh of energy transactions since 2023 across EV charging, peer-to-peer trading, demand aggregation, and fl exibility services.
● Belem Open Network: A city-wide open network initiative in Belém, Brazil, aimed at catalyzing opportunity across multiple economic sectors, starting with learning and livelihoods.
● Kuza - Kenya One Network: A nationwide digital agriculture network empowering smallholder farmers via an agripreneur model to improve their access to services and enhance livelihoods.

In addition to these initiatives, Sujith brings over a decade of management consulting experience and has led internet businesses in mobility and payments. He pioneered the launch of India’s National Common Mobility Card—a common transit ticketing infrastructure with open payments. As part of the Aadhaar project, Sujith spearheaded the design and deployment of De-duplication as a Service, a core infrastructure building block for enrolling 1.4 billion residents. He also led the onboarding of the Managed Service Provider for the deployment and operations of Aadhaar’s cloud infrastructure.
